A small independent publisher of pdf and print music for brass players and
ensembles, including brass quartet, brass quintet, horn ensemble, large brass
ensemble, low brass ensemble, trumpet ensemble and solo brass. WBM was
established in 2008 and the LLC was formed in 2009. Its catalog included over
200 publications by 40 composers and arrangers from eight countries. WBM
averaged 29 publications per year with New Music accounting for over 23% of its
catalog; and averaged 225 free titles given each year during 2011, 2012 and
2013. In 2014, the website was completely redesigned and, to reduce operating
expenses, the decision was made to discontinue sales of printed music and only
provide electronic publications. Ownership of the business and operations were
sold and transferred in 2017. Responsibilities included:

The Conductors Guild is a not-for-profit 501(c)3 international music service organization with approximately 2,000 individual, library, and institutional members in the U.S. and more than thirty other countries. Responsibilities included the following:
- Supervision of production and distribution of four publications:
Annual Membership Directory, Monthly Conductor Opportunities Bulletin,
Annual Journal of the Conductors Guild, and Quarterly Podium Notes.
- Coordination and logistical planning of educational programs, including up to 3 Conductor Training Workshops per year, up to 3 Regional Meetings per year, and an annual
Conference.
- Major event and meeting planning; Negotiate with hotels and vendors.
- Desktop and electronic publishing; multiple column layouts, electronic conversion, etc.
- Bookkeeping, management, and forecasting of an annual budget operating up to $210,000;
Accounts receivable and payable.
- File all state corporate reports.
- Staff management and supervision.
- Database creation and management.
- Implementation of membership services.
- Communication with 30-member volunteer Board of Directors, 20-member Advisory Council, and a
membership of almost 2,000, including monthly membership renewal generation, mass e-mail
communication, etc.
- Computer workstations and network administration, maintenance, and repair.
- Website design, maintenance, and implementation (until its redesign in 2006).
- Maintain relationships with business vendors.
- Produce and present statistical and financial reports as needed.
- Make arrangements for and attend trade-show events.
